Lactation Cookies 🍪

Is all the hype around these cookies worth it?

Google tells me the cookies are packed with ingredients known as "galactagogues," substances that help increase breastmilk supply.

While these cookies look like ordinary choc chip cookies, they are actually enriched with specific ingredients aimed at promoting lactation. Win Win 😆

So I suppose they serve as both a tasty treat and a potentially a solution to boosting milk supply issues 🤷

My cookies contains oats, flour, dark chocolate, egg, butter, brewer’s yeast and LSA.

1. How are oats beneficial for milk supply?

Oats are rich in iron and other essential nutrients. They help in boosting energy levels and are believed to help increase milk supply.

2. How is brewer’s yeast beneficial for milk supply?

Packed with B vitamins, proteins, and essential minerals, brewer’s yeast is a key component in lactation cookies. It's thought to improve overall health and promote lactation.

3.  How is LSA beneficial for milk supply?

Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, flaxseed is beneficial for both mother and baby. It’s believed to enhance the quality of breastmilk.

If you are not here for the science that's ok, these cookies are damn delicious no matter what. And whilst their purpose in life is to support breast milk production I think one of the most important things about them is they nourish the new mum on any level and I'm here for that 🤎🍪🤎

Cardamom,  Bay & Orange Madeleine's ✨️

The Madeleine would have to be one of my favourite cakes 🤗

They may be small in size but these beautiful French treats are perfect if you are looking to brighten your day. ☀️✨️☀️

They are just so sweet, delicate and so delicious...

This flavour combo was delicious and one the family obviously loved because I had to put the treats aside so I could at least get a 📸
