Sadly it is time for my Kingston Magnify Artist Residency to come to an end 😢 I have so greatly enjoyed my time here in the inspiring light filled creative space and with the great support from the team ♥️🙏♥️ I have loved every minute! My project is still ongoing and we need you 🫵 You can still get involved by booking in for a free workshop at Kingston Arts in April & June or comment/message me to find out more. The exhibition which will include a textile/mixed media installation made by over 40 community participants (so far!) opens on August 14th. ✨CELEBRATION EVENT August 16th✨ save the date!! ***rhistory

I’m excited to get to work in my new studio today! First day of my Magnify Artist Residency 🤩 and I am very grateful to have 3 months working in this lovely big light filled space ☀️ I have spent today mainly getting set up and familiar with the space.

Part of my Magnify Artist residency will be my Stitch with Sappho project - a series of community textile workshops inspired by the fragmented legacy of the Ancient Greek poet Sappho. Through stitching and conversation we’ll create together small textile fragments that will later form a large collaborative installation artwork. We’ll explore lost voices from history and the spaces in between the fragments that remain. We’ll learn about the subjective female voice, nature and everyday moments that Sappho honours as well as her important legacy to q***r culture. I’ve started sharing this project if you’d like to follow along. ***rculture

The lovely Kirsty just picked up her commissioned artwork! This embroidered thread & fabric artwork depicts her family on the beach. I am grateful to Kirsty for her patience and her excitement when she finally saw the artwork! 😁😊😁

I’ve been packing up my studio - taking all my work down, organising and boxing everything up. It feels so strange and a little scary actually 😟This space has been home to my art practice for 8 years! But the move is exciting and I am not leaving forever, just a few months while I embark on my Kingston Arts Magnify Residency Jan-April 2026! 💃🏼🤩🎉 In the first few weeks of January I’ll be moving into my new studio at in Moorabbin. While there I will be developing a new body of work including a very exciting collaborative community art installation. Lots more on that to come! But for now I am enjoying revisiting older work (and more than one ‘started never finished’ project 🙊😕) as I store it all away. It feels good at this time of year to be closing a chapter and opening up space for the next one 😊

I’m having a studio sale! I have an exciting year planned in 2026, kicking off with an Artists Residency and then followed by solo show later in the year (lots more on that to follow very soon!!!) so lots of new work and some big projects planned. I have been having a massive studio clear out and reorganisation and have come across lots of lovely past works that I would love to find new homes for.
