West Wyalong Tennis Club is a good example of how clubs can upgrade lighting progressively without blowing budgets or replacing infrastructure unnecessarily.
Light Up Sports was engaged to design, supply and install LED lighting through a two-stage upgrade, with Stage 1 completed in 2022 (2 courts) and Stage 2 recently completed across 5 courts.
The constraints were clear from the outset:
โข existing poles had to be reused
โข budget discipline mattered
โข performance still needed to be right
By designing around those constraints โ rather than ignoring them โ we delivered lighting that achieved an average of 483 lux with 0.84 uniformity, providing consistent, high-quality visibility across all courts.
For clubs, projects like this show that:
โข lighting upgrades donโt need to be all-or-nothing
โข staging works properly when design is consistent from day one
โข strong outcomes are possible even with existing infrastructure
