The Mudgeeraba Memorial Hall might look historic.

But the building you see today is actually younger than you might think.

The original School of Arts Memorial Hall was built in 1923, paid for through public subscriptions.

Seventy years later, it tragically burnt down.

And what did Mudgeeraba do?



Built it again. ❤️

The community rebuilt the hall into the building we see today.

A village hall built by the community.

Then, generations later, rebuilt by the community for the community.

Art, Coffee and Fresh Produced combined by one amazing Springbrook family. Head up to Albert’s On Lyrebird this weekend, they hang local artists work, sell local artisan products in their shop, have an amazing cafe with a balcony over the rainforest and even sell home made produce and sauces and pickles from their own Echo Valley Farm - Springbrook and other local growers

Sometimes the best advice is the advice you ignore….

When Warren Carnall was thinking about opening The W**e Barrel in Mudgeeraba, he asked two of the top chefs on the Gold Coast what they thought.
Both told him not to do it.

Warren and his wife Michelle did it anyway.

That was 2010.
We’re so glad they didn’t listen.
