Letterbox Love from the Artists!

To celebrate the arrival of The Doyles Art Award in Mudgeeraba, we are launching a community art activation across the village.
 
It’s our love letter to the community, and a fun way to keep locals and visitors’ art adventure going after they have been to the Doyles. 

From 19–28 June, keep your eyes open for handpainted….and some handmade letterboxes in local cafes, shops, restaurants and the village green.

Inside the letterboxes, you’ll find stunning postcards created by local artists - ready for you to collect, enjoy and send to someone you love.

We can’t wait for this exhibition at Albert’s On Lyrebird

🌿 Exhibition Gathering Invitation 🌿

To celebrate my upcoming exhibition, I’d love to invite you to join me for a day of art, nature, and good company.

Rather than a formal opening, we’ll begin with one of Springbrook’s most beautiful rainforest walks before gathering at the gallery.

📅 Monday 22 June

🥾 9:30 am – Meet at the top of Twin Falls Circuit
🌿 Leisurely 4 km walk through rainforest, rock formations, and behind waterfalls

☕ 11:30 am – Gather at Gallery 369, Albert’s on Lyrebird
🎨 View the exhibition
🥗 Enjoy lunch, coffee, and a chat

If walking isn’t your thing, please feel free to join us at the gallery for lunch and the exhibition.

As always, plans are weather dependent. If the weather is unfavourable, we’ll meet at the gallery only and postpone the walk until Friday 26 June.

This week’s “Good Egg” is much loved local and President of the Mudgeeraba Show Society Melanie Bryson

When I first met Melanie I was so impressed with the grace with which she carries her volunteer role. Hard work and service delivered with kindness, generosity of spirit and a smile, even under the pressure of show day.

It’s only 3 weeks until the 96th Mudgeeraba Agricultural Show so we thought it was a great time to sit down and learn a little more about this champion of the community.

It’s a stunning weekend on the trail and the perfect time to head up to Springbrook to see the waterfalls in all their magnificence. While you are there be sure to drop in to to discover stunning local art, guest artists and artisans and the beautiful cafe. Nestled in the beautiful rainforest the gallery building was built by local artist the late George Spruce where he lived with his wife artist Anne Asquith. Albert’s On Lyrebird
