Mark your calendars — 4 & 5 December, 3–7pm.
After an incredible event last year, the 2026 Makers’ Design Fair is shaping up to be an even bigger celebration of making, design, craft and the people behind it.

Set in the beautiful surrounds of Montvale at Montville, the Fair brings together an inspiring mix of furniture makers, artists, designers, craftspeople and independent makers from across the region.
Think beautiful handmade objects, exceptional furniture, original art, demonstrations, great food, drinks, music and plenty of opportunities to meet the people who actually make the things you’re looking at.
This isn’t your average craft market.
It’s a chance to discover thoughtful, beautifully made things that you won’t find in a shopping centre, meet the makers behind them, see traditional and contemporary skills in action, and perhaps take home something genuinely special.
Whether you’re a design obsessive, a lover of handmade things, looking for a unique Christmas gift, or simply keen to spend an afternoon surrounded by good people and great work — come and see what happens when a community of talented makers gets together.

From all of us here at the Makers’ Design Fair, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every maker, supporter, visitor and friend who has been part of our journey this year.

Your support of local craft, thoughtful design and handmade work means the world to us. We’re so grateful to share this community with people who truly value creativity, skill and care for the things we bring into our lives.

A huge congratulations to **Heather Alison**, the lucky winner of the Makers’ Design Fair Lucky Door Prize 🎁✨ Heather is heading home with an incredible collection of handmade pieces generously contributed by our amazing stallholders, the ultimate makers’ haul!

To everyone who came along and supported their local makers this weekend: Thank you. Your enthusiasm, your conversations, your purchases, and your presence made this fair something truly special.

And together, thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised $301 for Barung Landcare🌱💚 supporting vital work in conservation and regeneration right here in the hinterland. Thank you for being part of that impact.

📢ANNOUNCEMENT📢 Makers’ Design Fair will now open at 1pm (two hours early) on Sat 29th Nov.

⛈️To stay on top of the weather and allow everyone to enjoy the Design Fair before some wild weather that is forecast for the late afternoon, we’ve decided to open the gates early!!

That means all the fun and good vibes of the Makers’ design fair for an EXTRA two hours!

Browse the handmade stalls, sample the special edition gin, watch some live demos and maybe make a pair of chopsticks with your own hands!
