Hey, hi, hello!
I’m Danielle, the stoneware slinger behind Throwing Hands Ceramic, and the yARTy Party Coordinator at yART Sale
It’s about time I introduce who I am, and what the heck I do!
I’m a collector, a creator, and a contact hoarder. My home is my sanctuary, and it’s as bright as one can be, and I’m blessed enough to say that my life is just as bright. Incredible partner, the best friends, supportive family, and kicking milestones one by one.
What do I do?
Throwing Hands: I sculpt one of a kind pieces that are based off of vintage mid-century ceramic panthers, and throw a little traditional tattoo culture pizzazz into them. But I am forever evolving!
yART Sale: what started off as an answer to being a poor artist who can’t afford the cost of an exhibition; ended up being the beast that yART sale is. I wanted a way to showcase my own art, while also celebrating the very real and very rich art culture that Newcastle holds. It gives a space to me, my talented friends, and the incredible artists of Newy a place to shine, showcase, and sell!
In the last four years I’ve found a me that I never realised was in there; and f**k I am proud of her.
But realistically none of this would be possible without the insane amount of support that I’ve received from friends, family, and all of you!
