We are often asked which wireless format should we use.

Each one has advantages and disadvantages. I first introduced Sonos over twenty years ago, a revolutionary way to receive your music, since then we have seen others arrive all providing something a little different.

The Hifi industry has been in a state of suspended animation for over a decade. We have just concluded the largest Hifi show the world has ever seen, and witnessed the amount of highly organised spin you could ever imagine. Multi million dollar systems, down to the entry level.
What disappoints me with 56 years of selling Hifi we came away with nothing new. 1000 brands and nothing I could not see that would create a new enhancement to the way we enjoy our sound. Plenty from the copy products, the labels that were once brands that developed and innovated. The audio market is about music lovers and the pleasure of listening to quality music. A sense of ownership and being involved.
The boutique guys are the exception, they are trying, however in today’s world are working with 20 year old expired patents making it difficult to develop something new on limited finances.
Today’s customer has the disposable income like the past, but are looking for that hi end performance to suit their needs which are vastly different to the needs of 50 years ago. Where many brands are still trapped living in the past.
The message is simple to the hi end companies manufacture to the ones that are living, and with many years left to develop the system rather than preaching to the ones knocking on heavens door.

Just a little excited,
Most know my view towards soundbars is with contempt with the exception of Sonos and a couple of others it is generally an average experience.
Shortly we will be offering a New product from WiiM. Both are providing what others are missing a quality music option. Both of these allow for other brands, all the popular services as well as great value for money.
