Some good tips here - hanging onto things too long could be a health hazard.

So replace what you can with Norwex so you never need to throw anything out again (ie - good for the environment too ;-) )

Bathroom products to throw away.... That most people keep far too long.

Your bathroom may look clean…

But some everyday items quietly collect:
• Bacteria
• Moisture
• Mold
• Skin cells
• And buildup over time

Many people keep these products much longer than recommended without realizing it.

Here are a few common bathroom items that may need replacing more often than you think:

1. Loofahs
Loofahs trap moisture, dead skin, and bacteria very quickly — especially in humid bathrooms.

Suggested replacement:
Every 3–4 weeks

Tip:
Allow them to dry completely between uses whenever possible.

2. Old Toothbrushes
Worn bristles become less effective at cleaning teeth and gums, and brushes can collect bacteria over time.

Suggested replacement:
Every 3 months

Also replace after:
• Illness
• Frayed bristles
• Mold or discoloration

3. Expired Medications & Creams
Old products may lose effectiveness or sometimes irritate the skin.

Check regularly for:
• Expiration dates
• Strange smell
• Texture changes
• Separation or discoloration

4. Sink Sponges
Damp sponges are one of the easiest places for bacteria to grow.

Suggested replacement:
Every 1–2 weeks

Or sanitize frequently if reusable.

5. Old Razors
Dull blades can increase:

• Small cuts
• Uneven shaving

After about 5–7 shaves or whenever the blade feels dull.

How to freshen your towels - because you can take the girl from the linen but you can't take the linen out of the girl.

Do your towels smell musty even after washing?

This usually happens because of detergent buildup, body oils, and moisture that get trapped deep in the fabric.

Over time, this creates the perfect environment for odor-causing bacteria.

Fix tbis by giving them a restart. Start by running a hot wash cycle with one cup of white vinegar and no detergent.

Vinegar helps break down buildup and neutralize odors.

Theb run a second cycle with half a cup of baking soda. This helps lift any remaining residue and leaves the fabric feeling softer.

Do not mix vinegar and baking soda in the same cycle, as they cancel each other out. Using them separately allows each to do its job effectively.

Drying matters just as much as washing. Make sure towels are completely dry before folding or storing them. Damp towels can quickly develop that same musty smell again.

To prevent odors from coming back, wash towels regularly, avoid overloading the machine, and allow them to fully dry between uses. Small changes like these can make a big difference.

With the right approach, you can bring your towels back to life so they come out of the wash clean, fresh, and soft every time.
