The closer you get, the more detail you see! These subtle landscape works are by Millie Gillespie, a rising talent on the Perth arts scene.

We love how Millie really works with the medium, incorporating the wood grain into elements of the composition. Titled ‘Inner Landscapes’, they aren’t depicting a particular place, but rather act as a vessel for memory and atmosphere.

Tania has developed a beautiful representational style over the last twenty years, full of rich colour and expressive form. This body of work is inspired by the Southwest region, in particular her family property and farm where she grew up and still frequents regularly.

She’s continuously inspired by nature, feminine energy and the things / places she loves, using painting to bring balance into her life. She is drawn to abstract art for the freedom it gives her to capture raw movement and energy.

Kim Maple creates beautiful paintings influenced by time spent in Walpole among the ancient towering trees.

Her interpretations come from memory, and as the painting evolves she draws out the shapes and blocks out areas to create a sophisticated layered composition.

Join us in celebrating the opening of this gorgeous exhibition, featuring works inspired by WA’s South West. Each artist has a unique approach to landscape painting, from expressive, stylised interpretations to more realistic depictions.
