Noodles Crochet Welcome to Noodles Crochet the home of amigurumi and crochet supplies. Showcasing items I've made with supplies I sell. xx Muriel aka Noodle.

Cute, whimsical creations for the young and young at heart. I was taught to crochet by my Grandmother. She taught me the basic stitches and how to turn them into a pot holder or trivet. Going from flat to 3D (amigurumi) crochet has been a lot of fun and something that I have taught myself with the help of the internet and a few books. I am formally educated with a MSc in Environmental Management a

nd have a love for upcycling. This shines through in my sustainable range of crochet items which can be identified by the little logo on the photo. My sustainable range is crafted from yarns that have been purchased at op shops or from craft destash pages on Facebook. All my stuffed toys are filled with stuffing made in Australia from recycled water bottles. This avoids the need for new raw materials. The sustainable range also includes my range of baskets made from t-shirt yarn. T-shirt yarn is made from fabric remnants (edges and off cuts) that would usually go to landfill. Turning remnants into chunky yarn is an effective way to give the product a second life. I hope you enjoy looking through my page and if you find something you would like made for you or have an idea you'd like to share please feel free to contact me.

So when my kids were little, I purchased this bulky weight, 400g ball of yarn from BigW, just because I liked the colours. After several attempts, I couldn't decide on a stitch that matched the yarn weight, so I left it. Years later, I came across a C2C moss stitch blanket pattern and had that light bulb💡 moment. It worked a treat, except 400g wasn't enough 😅. I finally found some yarn that was an approximate colour and weight match and added a bit around the edge. Final blanket is about 80x80cm and has been donated to .yarnies, who will donate it to a charity for kids. After all, my kids are way too big for it now!

In memory of my Father in Law, Mike Davies, who passed away 16 months ago from Pancreatic cancer. This September, I'm walking at least 75km for the 75 Australians who die from pancreatic cancer each week.

Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and because early-stage pancreatic cancer rarely causes symptoms, the survival rates are devastating.

Right now, 12 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every day. It is the 3rd biggest cancer killer in Australia.

But research can change this. Your support will fund groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research and improve survival rates.

So this September, I'm challenging myself to get up, get moving and walk 75km to fight this terrible disease.

Please make a donation (link in bio) to support me, and together...

We will remember them. We will honour them. We will fight for them.

It's a sunny winter day today, so the kids and I headed to the beach for a walk. Collected another massive bag full of rubbish, and Max hauled the rope and floats back. Sadly, it was mostly discarded fishing gear and bait bags.
