We’ve been working on something a little different… and I’m SO excited to finally share it with you next week!

A brand-new type of session that will first be available as a public session these next school holidays, then you’ll be able to book it as a private experience for your own group, party or event.

And this might even be a Perth first!

I’m not going to give too much away just yet… but let’s just say there’s a little more to this session than meets the eye. 🔎

We had such a lovely evening at Karalee on Preston, getting creative and painting our beautiful Sicilian Sunset!

There’s something about sitting down with a paintbrush, a drink and a group of people and just switching off for a couple of hours. No pressure to be an artist — just have fun, get creative and see what you can create!

We were so excited to be back at The B bar!

Honestly, one of our favourite things is being invited back to a venue for more sessions. Knowing everyone had such a great time the first time around that they wanted to come back and do it all again means so much to us!

This time, we took things under the sea with a beautiful underwater turtle design — and WOW… the finished paintings were turtley awesome!

I’m SO excited to share that I’m officially a FINALIST in the Australian Ladies in Business Initiative ALIBI Awards — I have also been lucky enough to be a finalist in 3 other awards here in Perth too! but this one feels like a really big deal!

Why? Because these awards aren’t just for Perth-based businesses… they celebrate women in business across Australia.

That’s right… ALL of Australia!

And somehow, little me from Perth has made it to the finalist stage in TWO categories!

✨ Creative Service of the Year

I’m honestly so proud of how far I’ve come with Craft and Canvas.

I remember seeing these awards last year and thinking, “If I can actually make this business work, I want to be part of that.”

And then, just ONE YEAR later… here I am. A finalist. In two categories.

I also genuinely LOVE what these awards stand for. They’re about celebrating women, celebrating your achievements, recognising how far you’ve come and actually taking a moment to be proud of yourself and what you’ve built even if you haven't been in business for long.

I loved the application process too. It wasn’t just about ticking boxes and listing achievements. You submit a written application, and then as a finalist, you get the opportunity to tell them even more about you, your business and your journey through a video.

And honestly, I LOVE that.

Because behind Craft and Canvas is a person, a story, a LOT of hard work, plenty of learning along the way and a whole lot of passion.

I have absolutely no idea where this will take me, but I’m SO excited to see what happens next!

Pack my car with me for a paint and sip session!

Before every Craft and Canvas session, I have my trusty checklist ready and work my way through everything I need — canvases, paints, brushes, aprons, table covers, easels, instructions… the lot!

And somehow… it all fits in the boot. 🙌

I’ve fine-tuned my packing down to a fine art. Everything has its place, I know exactly what needs to go in first, what fits where, and how to Tetris the whole setup into the car perfectly.

It might look like organised chaos… but I promise there is a system!

Then it’s off to create some fun!

What better way to celebrate a fabulous 50th than with a little paint, plenty of laughs and a beautiful hummingbird painting!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating this special milestone, and it was so lovely seeing everyone get stuck in and create their own versions of this gorgeous design.

And can we just say… look at those paintings! 😍 Everyone did such an amazing job, and there were so many beautiful finished canvases to show off at the end of the session.

A Purr-fect Paint Party! 🎨

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating a very special birthday with a cat-themed kids' Paint Party!

Because our birthday girl absolutely LOVES cats, we created a magical "Moonlight Catwalk" painting for the kids to create.

And WOW… these little artists did an amazing job! There were some seriously fantastic paintings, and I loved seeing how each child added their own personality and creativity to their artwork.
