Wipping (yep you read that right) up some crocheted yo-yo puffs to pop on a cushion. The plan is it will live out the front of Yarn Me Calm on a couple of chairs so we can sit and enjoy the glorious weather in our part of the world. Using some of my Yarn Me Calm hand dyed 8 ply merino 🩵. Pattern is by Hooked By Robin 🩷

Knit For The Girls 2026 is here to raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer research. We all know someone who has been impacted by cancer and this is such an amazing way to not only fundraise but also raise awareness.

Here at Yarn Me Calm we are proud to be supporting this fundraiser by donating 15% of sales from our Pink With Purpose range for the month of October to KFTG.
We have dyed this range of beautiful GSY 5 ply SRS Merino in 3 colour ways: Hope Blooms, Stronger Together & Blushing Courage.

We are super excited to announce that the amazing Xandy Peters is not just coming to Australia next year but is also coming to our corner of the world! Xandy is an absolutely phenomenal knitting superstar who is responsible for some stunning designs and techniques that will be shared in 4 workshops at Yarn Me Calm. Whether it’s Stacked Stitches (and the stunning Fox Paws), Brioche or the breathtaking Trypophobia Shawl you can be sure to find something new and fun to learn. We are very excited and grateful to the fab Aleisha from Grumpy Ginger Yarn Company for including Yarn Me Calm in this collaboration and pleased to say we are the only store in Victoria that Xandy will be teaching at! The workshops are likely to sell out quickly so head on over to our website to check them out! And shhhh We will also have some special little yarns for you use for your workshop to celebrate Xandy’s visit!

Joining time! Nearly finished my Tee-ser Light Tee by Vickie Howell and I love it! I have used some of our Yarn Me Calm hand dyed alpaca/silk with sequins and Knitting Fever & EuroYarns Queensland Collection Zephyra and it is sooo lush 💚💚💚

A big shipment of Scheepjes arrived today at YMC. Some oldies (but goodies) and some new additions! We have had lots of requests to restock Catona so I thought these Catona Colourful Craving Packs were perfect! 10 x 25g balls of yumminess in a pack!
