It’s amazing how much plants can completely change a space. They just need a little time to grow and right care.

Lilly Pilly and Star Jasmine were chosen by our clients for the same goal: more privacy but for different spaces.

For the first garden bed, there was enough room along the boundary for a full hedge, so Lilly Pilly ‘Backyard Bliss’ was a great fit. Over time, it’s grown into a thick, green screen that gives the space much more privacy.

The second area had a much narrower garden bed (30cm width), so climbers like Star Jasmine made more sense here. It could grow up along the fence and create that green screening without taking over the garden.

And the transformation really comes down to the basics: good soil, consistent watering while establishing, feeding through the growing season, mulch and a little pruning to encourage fuller growth.
