Restaurant JAN, Nice — 24 seats, a converted garage on Rue Lascaris, and a Michelin star held for ten consecutive years under chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen, the first South African chef to earn one in France.

The studio's own language is about choosing materials that age and letting understatement do the work. The floor answers that directly: CP Parquet's Antico Asolo in Rovere Prime, brushed, with a Naturalizzato finish that leaves the oak at its natural pale tone rather than staining it.

Liberamentis — born from the collaboration between CP Parquet and architect and designer Maurizio Di Mauro, and carrying its vision in its name: a project that refuses to be defined by boundaries. Not a parquet floor — or not only.

A system for floors, walls and ceilings, built on two essential forms — the triangle and the trapezoid — used together or alone, repeated into potentially infinite compositions. In tone-on-tone versions, geometry creates the rhythm; in bolder compositions, timber species, treatments and textures multiply the possibilities.
