How to do Hamptons without it feeling flat:

1. Pick your Hero. Ours is the ‘Cumbria’ mural wallpaper by
2. Bring in some depth. Vary the intensity of your main colour (ours is blue!) so we have inky navy, powder blue and mid-strength blues.
3. Add some timber. Chocolate timber adds warmth and an anchor, preventing it from feeling icy cold. A classic combination!

It always means so much when clients take a moment to share a kind review. This one, in particular, is so heartfelt and reminds me of how lucky I am to do the work I love every day.

Client Testimonial:

"Today marks our third anniversary of working with Sophie from Coco Interiors—and what a journey it has been.

It all began with a video call while we were still living in Boston, planning our return home and dreaming about how to renovate, update and rejuvenate our beach property at Moffat Beach. From that very first conversation, we knew Sophie was the right person for the job—and we were absolutely right.

What followed was a wonderfully collaborative (and at times slightly chaotic!) process of redesigning spaces and reimagining our home. Somehow, Sophie managed to work seamlessly around our rather unpredictable schedule—moving between the US and Australia—while keeping everything on track. To this day, we're not entirely sure how she did it, she even managed to make a place for our wonderful flamingo lamp "Walter"

Like many projects of that time, we faced supply delays and constant changes. We would fall in love with a chair, only to discover it was either unavailable or six months away. What could have been frustrating instead became just another moment where Sophie would calmly say, "Let me see what I can do"—and then, somehow, she would do it.

Her "can do" attitude was a standout, but it was her attention to detail that truly brought everything together. From fabrics, rugs and blinds to cabinetry, custom furniture and those thoughtful finishing touches we didn't even know we needed—every element was considered, and it shows.

The greatest compliment we can give is this: it has now been 15 months since completion, and we haven't moved, changed or added a single thing. Not one cushion. Not one chair. It was perfect from the day she handed it over—and it still is.

In fact, we enjoyed the experience so much that we immediately embarked on a second project together—this time a full renovation. Now working with both Sophie and her husband Ben, we are only a quarter of the way through, yet everything is running so smoothly that we feel completely comfortable heading away for a few months and leaving it in their hands.

This is more than a recommendation—it's a genuine reflection of a wonderful experience. Sophie brings warmth, creativity, calm and just the right amount of persistence to every project. Quite simply, she makes the whole process not only successful, but genuinely enjoyable.

Kindest of Regards

Noel & Helen MacCarthy"

〰️ Calm 〰️

A beach walk at Buddina… the wind, the salt air, that pastel sky… the perfect way to reset and switch off at the end of the day. This is the time of year to do it, before the chaos of school and sport starts up again. My happy place 💛

The bathroom is often the smallest and darkest room in your home. You can see the architectural, light-enhancing effect these skylights provide, completely flooding the space with natural light and an uplifting, energising feel.

Although we kept this bathroom colour scheme neutral, the space doesn’t feel too dark or cold by the additional of natural light.

Swipe ➡️ to see the Before photos

I always love hearing from previous clients, I recently received fresh photos of the home I helped them with a few years ago. They had wanted my help with their renovation to fit their vision of a sleek and modern, black and white home. I pared back the amount of black that they had initially wanted, I think less can be more ☺️ We instead used soft greys and timber tones for warmth and balance.

Christmas 🎅 Bonus🎄Tip ➡️

〰️ Don’t forget to MATCH all your WHITES!

Your wall paint, your white wall tiles, your cabinetry and your stone should all match. It looks so much more cohesive and seamless when all the whites are in the same colour family.

It’s such a shame when people spend big $$ on their renovation project and get small details like this wrong.

Sharing the work of one of my favourite landscape designers

Based in Palm Beach, Florida, Keith’s work is so enchanting. I adore how he enhances the existing architecture and garden features of each home, whilst infusing the landscape with lush foliage, colour, soft layers and vibrancy.

Our Hamptons on Moffat project was inspired by Walter the fabulous flamingo 🦩
He lived abroad with his owners whilst they worked and travelled internationally. When they returned to Australia he required his very own custom ‘perch’ to quietly observe the living room and ocean views. We designed the stately, custom two-pack cabinetry just for Walter 🥰

We also custom designed the round boucle lounge, the shape softens the space and lends an inviting, casual feel to this beachside apartment. The lounge was craned in over the balcony 😅

I adore the delightful Chippendale stools, the detailed fret pattern adds a lovely layer to the Hamptons-style kitchen cabinetry.

Big thanks to Laura .co.interiors for the photos 🥰
