SASKIA SCHOENMAKER is a self-taught artist, predominantly using graphite pencil and gilding as a recurring theme in her illustrations. More recently, she developed a fascination with the connotations of gold leaf, and has since collated the two ideas into the basis for her illustrations. She also has a passion for artistically exploring animals that represent power and beauty. Saskia's fascination

for both the human psyche and gold began with her university major work "Back to Dust", in which she covered her body in gold flakes. "Back to Dust" won the Honorary Screen Award and Industry Commendation.

I got married and of course assigned every graphic design, printing and signage task to myself on top of planning the wedding! This included creating my church booklets from scratch, designing every bit of signage and font theme, and my drawing that was inspired by my bouquet and featured in a few places 🤍đŸĒģ
