I’m getting better at fixing boards. At the end of day it is foam, glass and resin — you can repair it. It also gives you the opportunity to know your board better, know the shaper behind the board, and learn how to avoid having to 3 or 4 days down time with your favourite board. I only use Solarez for on-the-road emergency repairs.

Day 1 sand, apply Q-cell
Day 2 sand, apply glass and resin
Day 3 sand, apply hot-coat
Day 4 sand.

I’m sure shapers with the right formula can do this quicker or between fully curing, I haven’t figured that out yet. Thank the Surf Gods for Q-cell — love this light s**t.

That was a new experience 😁

When the rear foot lands on the tail pad, it’s like “buckle your seat belt Dorothee, because Kansas is going bye bye!”

Next time, I’ll try the cut-back…

Can’t wait to take by baby for a test ride. This was a repair job gone wrong so I decided to cut off the bad bit and reshape the tail. A lot of novice mistakes but I got there, and now it is mine. Chilli con Chi Chi 🌶️ 🌊
