Natalie… respectfully… what are you making?! 👀😂

Just packed this casual 62 ball order and then she came back for another 14 balls straight after… which I can only assume is a very responsible
“just in case I run out mid-project and spiral” top-up.

I get it. We’ve all been there 🫣

Also pls ignore the greasy hair slicked back so tight it’s giving ‘early signs of balding’… mum life waits for no one and neither do yarn orders 💁‍♀️

But priorities were set:

✨ Question Natalie’s life choices (lovingly)
✨ Wonder what masterpiece is about to be created

✨ Customer Make Appreciation ✨

I will never get over how amazing it is to see what you all create with YoYu yarn 🥹🧶

This beautiful blanket was made by Noeline for her granddaughter… and honestly, my heart 🥰

She used our Botanica Bloom in Meadow Sage 🌿
A total of 9 cakes
Finished at a cosy 180 x 180cm

Worked in a corner-to-corner silt stitch, and she sized up to a 6mm hook to get that extra softness and drape - and wowzah… it’s absolutely perfect. The way the colours blend through the pattern is just magic ✨

This is what it’s all about. Not just yarn… but the love, time and meaning behind every stitch 💚

Introducing Candy 🐴🍬

Named Candy because I’m an overstuffer and forcing the saddle onto this horse was… ambitious. The saddle now looks less like a saddle and more like a g-string that’s fighting for its life 😂

The mane and tail nearly ended me. My hands are cooked and those tail strands (aka butt noodles) took about three business days longer than I emotionally budgeted for.

She’s made with my Plush Velvet yarn using the pattern by

This whole project happened on a whim for my neighbour’s daughter (who’s in my son’s class)… which seemed like a great idea until I was halfway through creating the mane and butt noodles questioning every life decision that led me here.

Do I slightly regret how much work went into this horse?
Yes.

Am I also weirdly proud of Candy?
Also yes.

🐸 I just frogged almost an entire comforter because I was getting frustrated at the lack of drape and realised I was using the wrong hook…. It was my own pattern too 😂🤦‍♀️

While it’s not YoYu-related, I had to share something close to my heart… I made this special blanket for my beautiful stepdaughter’s first baby, who has just been born. 🥹🧶

🌸 Pssst… I’ve been a little quiet lately… but not because I’ve been twiddling my thumbs. Nope - I’ve been busy cooking up something pastel, pillowy, and oh-so-pretty behind the scenes. 💅

Introducing just a peek at what’s coming:

🧶 Seriously soft. Ridiculously lovely to work with.

Made entirely from single crochet and chains - this pattern will be released as “dishcloth size” but will be easily adjustable into bigger projects (bring on the blankets!!) for those who want to make something truly unique 🫣

I’m looking for a bunch of lovely makers to test my new Vienna Dishcloth & Holder Pattern — a beautifully textured, beginner-friendly project that’s not just a dishcloth… it’s totally adjustable into towels, baby blankets, you name it!
