I had the most amazing experience last night at the ā€˜Belonging and Becoming’ opening night.

It was very surreal to see my art hanging up amongst insanely talented artists.

A massive thank you to for this opportunity šŸ«¶šŸ¼

The exhibition is on until the 30th of this month. Go check out some incredible works!

Belonging and Becoming

These three pieces
ā€˜daydreaming’,
ā€˜In search of my shade’ &
ā€˜Learning to be Me’
are a part of ā€˜s ā€˜Belonging and Becoming’ exhibition held from the 1st through to the 30th April @291 Hunter St, Newcastle.

This exhibition is about growth, identity, and all the messy and beautiful parts of life that shapes us to be who we are.

I’m incredibly grateful (and very excited but also so nervous) to be a part of this amazing exhibition alongside amazing and talented artists. Opening night is 5-9pm on 4th April (Easter Saturday) so come down if you’re around and check it out!!! šŸ¤

Scrolling through my camera roll today and came across these pieces I donated for a NAIDOC Week auction last year.

Two amazing school students reached out asking if I’d contribute a work to their school online auction of First Nations art and products.

The auction was all about raising funds and awareness for the injustices faced by Indigenous youth in the prison system.

I feel grateful to have been a part of the auction and to play a small role in something big.

Art should always have a home. Earlier this year, I donated 12 of my older canvases to Ronald McDonald House, giving them a new home and hoping to add a little colour and comfort to their space. Filling spaces with colour will always be one of my favourite things to do. šŸŽØšŸŒˆ

I want to showcase these beautiful works!!

The piece in the previous post was used as a tool for the young artists of this class to create their own artworks.

It’s so amazing to see the way they’ve used the different symbols and elements into one work and create their own stories.

Thank you to the lovely teacher for reaching out, and the cultural educator, for bringing a touch of culture into the classroom.

First piece of 2025!

This work was made for a friend’s teaching classroom and personalised to the students.

This work encompasses their journey through school and future paths, community through family, friends, teachers. As well as looking at the land with the river, mountains, tracks and stars. Other elements lay in the painting with a bit of fun with colours, shapes and lines.

I had so much fun making this piece and am so glad it has been the first piece of this year!

Hello 2025!
Wow it has been a while!

I haven’t been on here and posted since late 2023. Also haven’t picked up a brush in a very long time.

2023&24 came with moving to a new town and then moving back home, and starting university. I faced massive artist block during this time and am only just getting back into it. During this time I really put all my energy into uni and tafe, as well as creating connections. It’s been a gift!

I’m hoping to get back into and be posting more soon šŸŒž
