🇫🇷 I’ve been a little distracted…
I know, I know… it’s been a bit quiet around here.

In my defence, I’ve been in France eating my way through an unreasonable amount of delicious food! 😂🇫🇷

But while I’ve been busy eating French classics, there have been some VERY exciting Cookidoo updates happening.

And as someone who has already been happily translating French recipes and saving ideas to recreate at home, the new Recipe Translation feature has arrived at exactly the right time!

👩‍🍳 So, what’s new?
🤖 Cookidoo Assistant
Not sure what to cook? You can now ask Cookidoo what to make based on what you're craving, what's in the fridge, who you're feeding or the sort of meal you want. It can suggest recipes, help you plan and get you cooking.

🌍 Recipe Translation
This is the one I'm particularly excited about! Selected recipes from other Cookidoo countries can now be translated into your language while keeping the Guided Cooking experience. So all those international recipes suddenly become much more accessible.

📱 Recipe Handover
Find a recipe on your phone and send it straight to your TM7. Tap, send and it appears on the machine ready to cook.

👀 Remote Monitoring
You can now keep an eye on longer cooking processes from your phone and receive notifications when they're finished. Very handy when you're busy doing something else — or, apparently, wandering around France looking for your next meal!

🥕 Ingredient Presets
More than 50 ingredient presets make manual chopping and steaming easier, with settings designed for different ingredients, quantities and results.

And apparently my French food research has just become considerably more dangerous…
French recipes + translation + a Thermomix = bring on the butter!

Check out the full Cookidoo/TM7 update https://thermomix.com.au/blogs/news/tm7-smart-updates?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=IN_Thermomix_AU_CookidooUpdates092026_EDM25092026_TM7Engaged%20%2801M2P4FE576Y0TWWKRDABH1CAG%29&_kx=L9AYGpJlJPzmCsaBS9rMtLD8wmgY5Q7RDQICgM_ntK4.LwpYKC

And because apparently that's not enough excitement…

🎁 THERE'S ALSO A VERY GOOD TM7 OFFER!
For just $1 with every TM7 purchase, you can get a Thermomix Surprise Box valued at over $220 RRP.
And there's a little bit of luck involved:
🎁 1 in every 5 boxes includes a 2.7L Thermoserver
🎁 1 in every 10 boxes includes a TM7 bowl
🎁 Plus all the other goodies in the Surprise Box
Offer ends 30 September 2026 or while stocks last.

And if you've ever thought “I'd love a TM7 but I'd rather earn it…” — there's also the current Earn Your Thermomix opportunity.

Make 4 sales in 90 days and you can earn your TM7 with no deposit required, plus extra rewards along the way. That offer runs until 31 October 2026.

So yes… I've been eating French food.
But I promise I haven't completely forgotten about the Thermomix! 😉

Fancy exploring some French recipes together? I'm already building quite the list of things to recreate when I get home!

Yesterday we visited beautiful Bakewell in the Peak District — and naturally, there was only one thing to do…
Eat our way through the famous Bakewell Tart AND Bakewell Pudding!

The Bakewell Pudding is actually the older local speciality. Traditionally it has flaky pastry, a layer of sieved jam and an egg-and-almond filling. The famous story is that it was created by accident when a cook misunderstood instructions for a jam tart — although historians point out that the exact origins and date are rather murky. Either way, it was clearly one very happy kitchen mistake!

The Bakewell Tart came later and is a different beast altogether — usually shortcrust pastry, jam and a lovely almond frangipane-style sponge, often finished with almonds.

And then there’s Jane Austen…
You’ll hear the story that Jane stayed at the Rutland Arms in Bakewell in 1811 and that the town inspired parts of Pride and Prejudice. It’s a wonderful story — but apparently it’s a story rather than established history.

The Bakewell Old House Museum says there’s no historical evidence that Austen actually visited Bakewell. So perhaps we’ll leave that one in the “good story over a cup of tea” category!

Of course, being me, I couldn’t visit Bakewell without wondering:
“I wonder if Cookidoo has a Bakewell recipe?”
Well… obviously it does! 😂

So if you fancy bringing a little bit of Bakewell home, have a look at this delicious Blueberry Bakewell Traybake. Personally I'd swap for strawberries!

Because one of my favourite things about Thermomix is that you can travel somewhere, taste something delicious… and then come home and have a go at making your own version.

Eat well. Live simply. And occasionally eat the Bakewell. ❤️

Yesterday I had to do the unthinkable…
I made risotto BY HAND.
No Thermomix.
No guided cooking.
No “walk away and let Thermie do the stirring”.
Just me, a saucepan, a wooden spoon and a rapidly developing appreciation for modern technology. 🤣
And then there were the Harrods scones. £18! 😳
They were lovely… but even Craig admitted my Thermomix scones are better.
So, naturally, I’m taking this as confirmation that I have excellent taste and excellent kitchen equipment. 😉
Which brings me to this…
It has NEVER been a better time to earn your TM7!
If you’ve ever thought about becoming a Thermomix Consultant, this might be your sign.

✈️🇬🇧🇫🇷 A little update from me…

If I’ve been a little quiet around here lately, there’s a very good reason! 😍

I’ve been busy behind the scenes getting ready to head off to the UK and France for the next 6 weeks! 🇬🇧🥐🇫🇷

So, things might be a little quieter on the Thermomix front while I’m away — but I’m still available via Messenger, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions, need a hand with your Thermomix or want to have a chat.

And while I’m popping in, I couldn’t NOT share this…

👀 If you’ve been thinking about getting a TM7…

or perhaps you’ve been looking for a flexible little side hustle, this might just be your sign! ✨

There’s currently a great opportunity available through Thermomix, and it could be worth taking a look — whether you’ve been wanting a TM7 for yourself or you’re curious about becoming a Thermomix Consultant.

👉 Earn your TM7 in just 3 sales plus other incentives!

I’ll be sharing a few snippets from my travels along the way, so make sure you’re following along. 🌍💕

Tonight the Thermie was officially OFF DUTY! 🙌

Yep… no Thermie dishes tonight.
No chopping. No cooking. No cleaning up.

I had the night off! And honestly… it was GLORIOUS. 😂

We headed to Gips Restaurant Toowoomba and, as always, it never disappoints. The food was absolutely delicious — every single thing we had was amazing.

Sometimes we get so caught up in cooking from scratch, making everything ourselves and trying to eat well that we forget one very important thing…

It’s OK to let someone else cook!

The Thermomix is there to make life easier — not to become your personal slave master. 😉 There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a night off, supporting a local restaurant and enjoying a meal you didn’t have to prepare.

BUT…

I am a Thermomix Consultant, so apparently I am incapable of simply eating a meal without analysing it. 🤣

"What’s in this?"
"How did they make that?"
"I reckon I could do this in the Thermie…"

So while tonight was definitely a night off, I may have come home with a little list of dishes I want to recreate in my Thermomix!

Watch this space… 😜

Because Eat Well, Live Simply isn’t about cooking everything yourself, every night.

It’s about good food, enjoying life, supporting local and knowing when to put your feet up.

Tonight, I chose the feet-up option. ❤️ Gips Restaurant Toowoomba

Two for one! 🥧✨

Got home from a weekend away and still had to make Sunday supper happen. Enter apple & blueberry crumble with homemade egg custard, made in minutes thanks to my Thermomix.

Just good, real comfort food — and honestly, the custard is the bomb! 🤤

And of course, Winston was right there waiting impatiently for his turn to lick the bowl. He knows that Thermomix bowl means something delicious is happening! 😂🐶

The crumble made quite a lot, so rather than let any go to waste, I turned the leftovers into cinnamon biscuits. Morning tea sorted for tomorrow!

Two delicious treats from one cook-up. No waste. No preservatives. Just real food. ❤️
