Have you dropped into Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts this week?

I was delighted and surprised to find an artwork made of toast!

If you look at it at a distance, you will see the varying shades of toastiness create common mathematical symbols.

If you know the name of the artwork and artist, please comment here so that i can attribute to them.

Lots going on in town with NAFA and

Enjoy the arts experience my friends!

Changing the way a painting turns out is always easier with acrylic paint! Just paint over it!

I couldn't get the 80s Madonna song Dear Jesse with "pink elephants and lemonade" from my head while I painted this.

Hi friends! I really need your help!!! I'm making a small series of paintings and I need to know which is your fav.

One inspiration photo was used to create two very different paintings.

Which would you choose?

1. Modern Australian folk art
2. Bright patterned background, such as stripes being the same all over?
3. (Not shown) simple one colour, many shades background in my usual modern kmpressionist style

Please help a girl out and let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for helping me with this new adventure of life as an artist.

✨ 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 | 71𝘴𝘵 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘴𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴

Congratulations to Lorraine Lowe who won the $500 Section 1: Works on Canvas or Board Highly Commended Award for her artwork 𝘈 𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳. Here is a closer look at her artwork, painted with acrylic on canvas.

Judge, Karina Devine, said “This slightly stylized portrait is vibrant and energetic. The subject is cheeky and the contrasting colours peeking through from the background add to the joyfulness.”

Be sure to come see this work along with many other amazing artworks in the 71𝘴𝘵 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘴𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 exhibiting at Perc Tucker Regional Gallery until 18 October 2026.

Thank you to Phase 3 Projects who sponsored this award.

Remember when watermelon still had seeds? It tasted super sweet and dripped juice, so you'd bend over letting the juice and seeds fall onto the grass.

Warm days. Family fun. Outdoors. Wearing a tshirt and shorts.

This year for the Incognito Art Show ncognito Art Show i wanted to invoke 80s nostalgia.

One of my artworks, Nightlight is now sold.

I'm so happy to show you.

Did you have a My Little Pony? I didn't have the doll, but i bought the showbag and remember a glittery plastic pencil case and other treasures.
