I love making interactive cards and this one for my sister was no exception. It's a Shutter card where the middle picture changes to a different picture when the tab at the top of the card is pulled up. While you can manually cut all the pieces needed to make this style of card, I bought the Snazzi Scrappin' Shutter create a card die set which makes it easy to diecut the pieces for this style of card.

One of my family members was celebrating a very special birthday and this Dimensional Column special fold card was made for him. It features the Stampin' Up! Modern Christmas papers (perfect for any occasion, not just Christmas) & Alphabet A La Mode die set. It can be folded flat for posting. The design of this card was inspired by Karen Foy's tutorial on youtube.

This floating hexagon pop out birthday card was created for a friend's recent birthday who happens to love the colour green. I couldn't go past having good old Aussie gum leaves as the theme for the card so I could feature the green colour. I've used the Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla and Tranquil Teal cardstock, baker's twine and rhinestones. The patterned paper is from Scrapbook Fantasies' Aussie Christmas collection.

While Christmas is just around the corner, birthdays are still being celebrated throughout December and I made this pop-up star explosion card for a good friend. It features both the retired Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Blooms paper and Brilliant Wings die set. It folds together like a standard gatefold card for posting and has a bellyband to keep it together. Mixed Up Craft's website has the tutorial I adapted size wise to create this card.

I recently attended a charity card making day and one of the types of cards we made was a tri-panel gatefold card. I like this style of card and have re-created it using some of my favourite retired patterned papers, the Stampin' Up!, Joy of Christmas DSP. The gold foil sentiment on the bellyband is from the Greeting For You mix & match ephemera pack.

I've seen several Christmas star fun fold cards around this year and decided to try making one. I used the retired Stampin' Up! Poinsettia dies which are a favourite as the diecuts co-ordinated perfectly with the Scrapbook Fantasies Traditional Christmas papers I had in my stash. You can find the tutorial I used to create this card on the Serene Stamper's site.

A friend recently retired so I got my Stampin' Up! inks out and made her this card. The card base paper was from the retired Thoughtful Journey paper pack and I used the colours from that paper as inspiration to ink blend the top layer. I then stamped the Happy Retirement message from the Happy Place stamp set on the ink blended cardstock. A couple of diecut palm trees from my stash finished off the card.

It was Father's Day last weekend and I made this Two Panel Pop Up card for my husband. Rather than cutting all the pieces manually, I used the Snazzi Scrappin Two Panel Pop Up card die set which made creating the card base & layers so easy. To decorate the card I used the Snazzi Scrappin "Happy Father's Day" die, Stampin' Up! Sunrise Sailing bundle & patterned paper and Scrapbook Fantasies' Island Sands patterned paper too. I've added a white cardstock mat behind the right panel where a message to my husband was written. The colours from the different brands mixed and matched so easily and more importantly, my husband loved his card.
