Peter Brandt

Peter Brandt Send me a photo and I'll draw it for you. Pastel and charcoal on fabric. Born into a family of artists masquerading as architects - drawing was second nature.

For a while I made lino cuts and ink studies for the Newtown Art Markets in Sydney's Inner West, with work hanging in Ralph's Living Room Cafe. After many years at more mundane work, raising a family while driving trucks and forklifts, I decided to try drawing full time. Back in my element, also enjoying more time with my children, participating in many lives in little ways - many commissions come

by way of memorials each with their own story. Some are surprise presents for more joyful occasions. They all have their own challenges.

Well done Georgina Brazier! Here is the amazing lady who drove a rally car across Australia in the Variety Bash fundraiser for sick kids. The intriguing framed print is my pastel drawing of a spark plug, donated to raffle off as part of the event.
