Warby Wood is a father and daughter partnership from North East Victoria who transform fallen trees, building materials and neglected timber furniture into beautiful and unique timber homewares. All wood is from fallen trees or recycled from old furniture or buildings. Every piece has a story to tell. Each item is individually handcrafted therefore allowing every piece to be one of a kind. Today as I sit in quiet contemplation, surrounded my nature I feel truly humbled and grateful for all the support my dad and I have had with Warby Wood. I’ve been a bit quiet on the socials, not because I haven’t been making and creating but because I’ve been immersed in the making and creating and not focused on filming and curating content. Social media can become all consuming - it’s nice to take a step back…appreciate the daffodils, experience the first blossoms of spring and feel grounded in your environment because the reality is, no one knows when it’ll all end. I’d rather remember to stop and ‘smell the roses’ than to focus daily on scheduling content. If you’re up for a chat, you’ll find me at the regular markets (as per our website) I love the markets - the chance to connect with our customers face-to-face is my jam. Happy Friday.

Have you noticed ‘spring’ in the air? Even though it wasn’t a freezing winter I’m glad to feel that spring is just around the corner AND our yarn bowls are finally restocked. Who likes porridge? Has anyone seen the documentary on Netflix, “The Golden Spurtle”? Well I’m learning to make porridge with water, in the saucepan…with my spurtle…which you stir in one direction only (according to the experts) We’ll have a new range of spurtles this Saturday Myrtleford Farmers Market so you can try it out making your porridge, your way. 🥄👨‍🍳🥣

This giant custom lazy Susan left the workshop last week. Measuring 80cm in a diameter it was almost as wide as my table. However the customer has a large square table so it works well. Featuring beautiful local Timbers. The second photos shows it next to our standard size, - looks tiny. You can pick up a 48cm diameter at Myrtleford Farmers Market this Saturday. Great for shared meals and entertaining.

Last month Wangaratta Farmer's Market I bought the most delicious homemade crumpets from Homemade By Annie and topped them with mushrooms from Gourmet & Medicinal Mushroom Growers Then I tried a sweet option with Walkabout Apiaries honey Both amazing. Used my Warby Wood butter spreader and Warby Range Pottery butter dish which I love.
