My Story

To say I’ve always loved cooking is an understatement, but my passion has come from my beloved late grandmother. Best known to me as Nanna. Nanna and I always talked about cooking whether it was something we wanted to cook or something we had cooked lately. Every conversation would revert back to cooking somehow. I grew up often cooking the nightly dinners for my family which to me wasn't a chore rather something I enjoyed doing.

Once I became an adult and moved out of the family home I started experimenting a lot more with different dishes. Because I lived on my own for a few years I had to learn to cook in larger quantities otherwise it would have been easy to slip into bad eating habits not to mention the financial side of things.

My freezer was always full of meals I had made so I always had a choice depending on what I felt like at the time. This is something my Nanna taught me, she had a deep freezer which was always stocked well, she even had a log book of what was in the freezer so when she took something out she could mark it off. In her later years she slowly started to stop cooking not because she didn’t enjoy it anymore but more that it was too much for her and easier and cheaper to purchase ready made meals. I would visit 1-2 times a week with meals I made for her so that I knew she was eating well.

To cut a long story short my Nanna is my inspiration for starting this new chapter, every meal I make is not only full of love but my passion for cooking. I’m now a wife and mother of 2 and I would love to share this journey with you all in hopes you all enjoy it as much as I enjoy cooking for you all!
