Loretta Grayson Art and Craft I adore colour and pattern, and create art that makes every day a celebration. About the Artist:

Hello, and a warm welcome to my page!

I'm Loretta Grayson, and I live with my family on a farm in Queensland, Australia. I create imaginary and geometric landscapes in gouache, oil pastel, collage, and mixed media. My artwork is inspired by colour, pattern, map imagery and the book illustrations of my childhood. I also find a lot of inspiration in literature and poetry. You'll often find me sharing pieces that illustrate the small wor

lds I create in my head from the much-loved lines I have jotted in my art journal while reading. I operate a small one-woman business selling prints of my work online, and also exhibit and sell originals as opportunities arise. When I'm not painting, I love to crochet. I mostly create my own designs and occasionally get around to writing the patterns to share. I love collaborative projects and coordinate the Yarntopians team. We have an amazing group who work together to produce large scale yarn bombing installations for Jumpers & Jazz in July, a ten day yarn bombing and jazz festival held in Warwick, QLD each year. Thank you for following my page, and for your likes and comments! Your support is very much appreciated.

Part of the magical appeal of the Yarntopians’ Enchanted Forest is the gentle lighting. We used fairy lights, vine-covered lamps and battery powered candles. The We the Wild grow lamps I originally bought for my houseplants came to the rescue to bathe the forest floor in gentle sunlight. The torches we provide to our little visitors have been a big hit, too ✨
We’re open every day of Jumpers and Jazz in July from 9am - 4pm at the St Mark’s Parish Centre.
