A balcony window has to do more than look good. It needs to stand up to the elements year after year.

For this recent project in Ashfield, we supplied and installed new 16-light fixed sashes, while also tackling hidden timber decay beneath the surface. The existing sill was removed, affected styles were repaired using vertical grain Western Red Cedar, and a new hardwood sill was installed complete with waterproof flashing for long-term protection.

The finished result stays true to the home's character while delivering the durability and craftsmanship needed to withstand the harsh Australian climate.

Out with the worn, in with the built-to-last.

For this recent project in Earlwood, we replaced an existing timber window sash with a new double-light fixed sash, carefully checking for any signs of timber rot and water ingress before installation. The new unit was glazed with 4mm Kosciusko glass, finished with traditional linseed oil putty, and completed with new external stop beads for a clean and timeless finish.

It’s all about preserving the character of the home while making sure the details perform for years to come.

A good window shouldn’t rattle, stick, or let every bit of outside noise creep in.

For this recent project in Hurlstone Park, we restored and upgraded the timber casement windows in both bedrooms by easing and adjusting the existing sashes, installing new internal timber beads with draft and acoustic seals, and fitting new hinges, teardrop handles, and telescopic arm hardware.

The result? Smoother operation, improved comfort, and bedrooms that feel quieter, tighter, and far more refined.

Heritage Window Specialists is looking for a motivated Apprentice Joiner to join our growing team.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in:
✔ Timber window & door restoration
✔ Joinery & glazing
✔ Draught proofing
✔ Heritage restoration projects across Sydney

What we offer:
