Thinking about a place I used to go when I was a child.
Windy, quiet and a long way from everything else.

Not sure I’ve ever really left it.

This is pretty big, thrilling and full of cartwheel feelings to be part of the Dobell Drawing Prize tour this year. To be showing amongst amazing contemporary Australian artist that I greatly admire is next level.
My piece ‘Scar & Ruby’ began a ride I’m still on, a way for me to see them separate from the noise and chaos of everyday.
Drawing has been a love of mine since I can remember and helps me understand and explore the little and big things. It is amazing that that this piece in particular, the one that started my series, gets to be seen in all of these amazing regional galleries.

A quiet piece, a quiet moment and some very good news.

‘Seated Figure’ has been selected as a finalist in the 2026 Muswellbrook Art Prize (Works on Paper).

Drawing for me is a slow act of attention. Allowing stillness, shadow and negative space to hold presence without explanation. I’m grateful and super thrilled the work will sit within this year’s exhibition.

Thank you to the selection panel and to judge Scott Elliott, Assistant Curator of Australian Art at the Art Gallery of NSW.

The exhibition opens 21 March at Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre.

Four generations- land and one moment held still.

This was a very special commission for me. Capturing four generations of a farming family on their land. When work carries that much history, memory and meaning then the responsibility feels heavy in the best possible way.

As a returning collector they trusted me again with something deeply personal and I felt that trust every step of the process. I put a lot of pressure on myself to get this one right. Not just the likeness but the quiet connection between generations, the weight of place and the pride that lives in work passed down.

Thank you to this beautiful family for trusting me once again with your story — it truly means a lot 🤍

This recent commission was created as a very special 40th birthday gift. Shaped slowly through many conversations, shared memories and thoughtful alterations along the way 🤍

The idea was gentle but clear, to have the family present in the work without being the main focus. What emerged was a bush landscape inspired by moments of walking, camping and being together outdoors. The family are quietly together within the scene almost absorbed by it, inviting the viewer to look closer and discover them as part of the land rather than separate from it.

I love how the scale of the bush dominates the final piece. A reminder of how these places hold our memories, and how we in turn, belong to them. I feel like collaborations like this are a privilege built on trust, listening and taking the time to get the sense just right 🤞

Thank you beautiful family H, I loved being able to create this special piece for you x

I was asked to draw this special moment as a gift from a mother.
The engagement. The ring. The shared smile.

I’m drawn to these quiet in-between moments, slowing them down and holding them softly on the paper.

Thank you to the collector for trusting me again with such a personal commission. It’s a privilege to be invited back into moments like this x

Well that was a year to remember!!

2025 was packed to the brim with amazing experiences, art prizes, family trips and some drawing thrown in there. Thank you all very much for following along, I feel especially lucky to spend my days doing what I love and you guys help me keep on keeping on!

This time of year it hits me hard just how fortunate I am that there are people out there that connect with my work and choose it to hang in their homes among their families. Anyway I just wanted to say a big thanks, you guys are the best!
I can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for us xx

Today is a scorcher 🥵 luckily we are at the beach at the moment!
Being here at our local reminded me of this commission painting I completed about 5 months ago. I remember while painting it back in the studio during the cold snap of winter it made me long for summer to come. This piece holds those feelings of loved family memories forged by long summer days on the beach.

To create meaningful pieces like this for families feels like such a privilege anchored with a sense of honouring the connections the client has and trying really really hard not to stuff it up 🫣

Thanks again for choosing me to create this one for you x
