Paradise valley!

Not too long ago I got a job working at paradise valley campground. My first time ever going there one of the first things I saw was the original wooden sign at the front gate, looking a little worse for wear, long forgotten about as a new fancy sign had been put up opposite it…. Well all I wanted was to take it down and give it the love it deserved.
Fast forward a few months and I finally got that chance… So here it is! The finnished project back where it belongs welcoming our guests as they drive through the gates…

Morgan and chief

There are some pieces that mean more than words can really capture.

I was recently trusted with something incredibly special… a good friend asked me to create keepsakes using the tail hair from her beloved horse after saying goodbye. Anyone who knows that bond understands just how deep it runs.

From that, I carefully handcrafted an armband and a hobble belt—pieces she can carry with her every day, holding a part of him close as she steps into her next chapter.

She’s about to head off on a new journey up to the Northern Territory, and I hope these pieces bring her strength, comfort, and a reminder that he’s still walking beside her in spirit.

It’s an honour to create items that carry stories like this—ones filled with love, loss, and new beginnings.

Today’s the day!

After a busy sleepless few nights I’m as ready as I can be…. I have felt the whole range of emotions and even wanted to pull out at one point… but I’m here, I’m set up and ready to go. So why not come down to the willow grove winter market. Open til 1pm at the hall. Hope to see some familiar faces.

1 WEEK TO GO TIL MARKET DAY!

Safe to say the shed has been in absolute chaos mode lately… leather everywhere, timber dust in places it shouldn’t be, and a very tired me trying to get it all done in time. ( along with work and of course my apprentices aka Hazeleigh and Braxten 😉)

But it’s all coming together.

Here’s a little sneak peek of what I’ve been working on behind the scenes. Every piece has been cut, shaped, stitched, sanded and finished by hand — no shortcuts, just good old-fashioned hard work.

There’ll be plenty coming with me to market, and as always, no two pieces are ever the same… perfectly imperfect, just how I like it.
