Some window films are designed to make a statement.

This one is designed not to.

For this home, the brief was simple: improve UV protection without changing the look, feel or light levels of the space.

We installed 3M Prestige 70, a premium clear solar film that helps protect flooring, furniture and interior finishes from UV damage while maintaining the natural appearance of the glass.

No dark tint.
No mirrored look.
No noticeable change to internal or external reflectance.
No compromise on natural light.

Just quiet protection doing its job in the background.

This installation features 3M™ Dichroic Blaze — a premium architectural glass finish designed to create an ever-changing colour shift depending on light, angle and environment. Blaze transitions through warm tones of cyan, blue and magenta in transmission, with reflective red and gold tones appearing throughout the day.

For this Dinner Plain chalet project, we layered a custom skier graphic over the top to create a bold architectural feature that feels completely integrated into the space.

Architectural by design.
Precision installed.
Impossible to ignore.

Good film starts with good advice.

There’s a big difference between simply applying window film and properly specifying it.

For modern homes, the right solution depends on the glazing system, glass type, orientation, comfort issues, privacy goals and long-term performance expectations.

That’s why AlpineTint takes a specification-led approach — not a “one film fits all” approach.

Premium window film.
Better advice.
Better outcomes.

Winter comfort. Summer performance. Uncompromised views.

This AlpineTint dual-climate window film installation in Tawonga, Victoria improves year-round thermal comfort by helping retain winter warmth while reducing summer heat gain — without changing the appearance of the glazing.

Depending on the product selected and the existing glazing system, AlpineTint’s dual-climate range can retain up to 48% of winter warmth and reject up to 75% of summer heat.

As energy costs continue to rise, more homeowners are looking for ways to improve thermal performance without the cost and disruption of full glazing replacement.

Designed as a high-performance alternative to double glazing, Dual-Climate window film can help reduce heating and cooling costs by up to 30%, while maintaining natural light and the connection to the outdoors.

• Improved year-round comfort
• Reduced seasonal heat transfer
• Helps reduce energy consumption
• Lifetime warranty

A smarter way to improve comfort, efficiency and livability without replacing your existing glazing.

Not all window film installations are equal.

To most people, window film is just “tint” — but there’s a huge difference between a film simply being installed… and being specified and installed correctly.

Glass type matters.
Thermal stress matters.
Compatibility matters.
Application methods matter.

Get it wrong and the result can range from poor performance and visual issues right through to costly glass breakage or products simply not performing the way they were promised.

That’s why industry certification matters.

The new WFAANZ certification badge helps customers identify installers who have invested in proper flat glass training and industry knowledge — not just someone who bought a roll of film and a squeegee.

If you’re choosing a window film installer, look for businesses proudly displaying the WFAANZ certification logo. It shows they’ve taken the time to develop their understanding of glazing systems, film performance, and industry best practice.

We’re proud to display ours.

Because when it comes to glazing, the right advice matters just as much as the product itself.

They might look similar on the roll…or even once they’re on the glass.

But the difference shows up where it matters:
• how much heat actually gets rejected
• how harsh the glare still feels
• what it looks like from inside vs outside
• how much privacy you really get
• how the film performs over time

And most importantly—whether it’s even right for the glass in the first place.

Because when it’s not, that’s when you see; cracking, peeling, or a result that just never feels right.

At AlpineTint, we treat film as part of the glazing system — not just a finish.

We take the time to:
• identify the glass
• check compatibility
• understand what you’re trying to achieve
• and match the right film to it

It’s not the fastest way…but it’s the way that avoids problems.

Not a bad way to start the day.

Sunrise in Traralgon this morning before heading out to site.

This week’s work has us across Gippsland installing 3M Ultra S800 security film at multiple locations — a high-performance multilayer film designed to hold glass in place under impact and significantly delay forced entry.

We’ll keep the client unnamed — security upgrades like this are best kept discreet, but there’s no question they’re a lot safer now.

Early starts. Done properly.

In response to the continued rise in fuel prices across Australia, AlpineTint today announced the launch of its new Alternative Transport Program, aimed at reducing operating costs, lowering emissions, and improving overall mobility in regional areas.

After extensive testing, AlpineTint has begun transitioning portions of its fleet from traditional vehicles to ostrich-powered transport solutions.

“Fuel prices have reached the point where we had to start thinking outside the box,” said AlpineTint Managing Director Chris. “Initially we looked at hybrid vehicles and electric vans, but once we ran the numbers, the ostrich program just made sense.”

Early trials have shown several advantages over conventional fleet vehicles:
• Zero fuel consumption
• Minimal servicing requirements
• Excellent off-road capability
• Surprisingly strong top speed when motivated
• No registration or insurance complications (so far)

The company confirmed that each ostrich is fitted with custom AlpineTint branding, ensuring consistent brand visibility across all transport platforms.

While the initiative is still in its pilot phase, AlpineTint believes the program has strong long-term potential.

“Our installers are still getting used to the braking system,” Chris added. “But overall the feedback has been positive.”

Customers can be assured that despite the change in transport methods, AlpineTint remains committed to delivering the same high-quality window film and architectural finishes the business is known for.

Delivery times may vary slightly depending on grass availability and temperament of the fleet.

Further updates on the Alternative Transport Program will be released as trials continue.
