In response to the continued rise in fuel prices across Australia, AlpineTint today announced the launch of its new Alternative Transport Program, aimed at reducing operating costs, lowering emissions, and improving overall mobility in regional areas.
After extensive testing, AlpineTint has begun transitioning portions of its fleet from traditional vehicles to ostrich-powered transport solutions.
“Fuel prices have reached the point where we had to start thinking outside the box,” said AlpineTint Managing Director Chris. “Initially we looked at hybrid vehicles and electric vans, but once we ran the numbers, the ostrich program just made sense.”
Early trials have shown several advantages over conventional fleet vehicles:
• Zero fuel consumption
• Minimal servicing requirements
• Excellent off-road capability
• Surprisingly strong top speed when motivated
• No registration or insurance complications (so far)
The company confirmed that each ostrich is fitted with custom AlpineTint branding, ensuring consistent brand visibility across all transport platforms.
While the initiative is still in its pilot phase, AlpineTint believes the program has strong long-term potential.
“Our installers are still getting used to the braking system,” Chris added. “But overall the feedback has been positive.”
Customers can be assured that despite the change in transport methods, AlpineTint remains committed to delivering the same high-quality window film and architectural finishes the business is known for.
Delivery times may vary slightly depending on grass availability and temperament of the fleet.
Further updates on the Alternative Transport Program will be released as trials continue.
