Yesterday, after a couple of days of being in a beautiful but strange city, I found my way to a garden.

As soon as I walked in I had the impulse to take off my shoes and stand on the grass.

Suddenly, my lungs filled with air. I hadn't realised I had been holding my breath.

How long do we endure holding our breath without realising it? Putting our stress down to all sorts of other things.

We might have reason to be stressed, but being in a garden might make it feel more manageable because suddenly we breathe.

I went to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens today.

Here's the thing about places like this - I can't take things from here and apply them directly to my garden. The climate here in Adelaide is significantly different to the one I have at home.

I can find inspiration.

I can see a plant shape, or a style of flower or an idea for an arbour (mine will be not as big as I have less space) or how to place plants amongst trees.

Places of demonstration are often best used for ideas, not finite answers.

They increase the possibilities. ❤️

Complete overwhelm! I don't overthink if I only have a short timeframe. That's why I get the most done when we're supposed to be leaving the house to go somewhere...😂
