🌸🌿 Flower of the Week – Asiatic Lilies! 🌿🌸

Asiatic lilies (Lilium hybrids) are hardy, early-blooming perennial bulbs, loved for their vibrant, upward-facing flowers and wonderfully easy-care nature. 🌸 They have little to no fragrance, making them a fantastic choice for both gardens and beautiful cut-flower arrangements.

These gorgeous lilies were grown by Michael Hogan at Farnborough Fields in Central Queensland! 🌱🌞

As lilies generally prefer a cooler climate, seeing these beauties thriving in the warmth of Central Queensland is pretty AMAZING! 😍🥰

A big shout-out to Michael for growing such beautiful flowers in our Queensland conditions! 🌸🌿

It's been a minute- but 'Flower of the week' is back!!!!

Flower of the week- ISOPOGON

Isopogon is a genus of around 35 to 40 species of striking flowering shrubs belonging to the family Proteaceae, all of which are endemic to Australia. Commonly known as "drumsticks" or "coneflowers", they are highly prized in native gardening for their intricate foliage, vibrant globular flower heads, and decorative woody seed cones that remain on the plant long after blooming.

I often forget to take photos when I travel, but my eyes always seem to find the flowers along the way.

🕊️✨Here is a little piece of my recent journey through Tasmania. Each of these delicate, pressed blooms holds a quiet memory of the place it was found. Looking at them lets me gently step back into those beautiful moments and relive the adventure. 🌿🌸🌱

A gentle reminder to always care for the places we visit: please only collect flowers from gardens with permission, and leave national parks untouched.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined my workshop this morning. Your energy, happiness, and joy brought so much life to the room! You should all be incredibly proud of your arrangements—they are truly beautiful, and because they are native blooms, you'll be enjoying them for months to come! 💐

A massive thank you also goes out to the wonderful team at Tanby Garden Centre for having me back. I love collaborating with you and already can't wait for our next workshops!
