🐉Agave Pygmae, commonly known as "Dragon Toes" is such a fascinating looking succulent native to Mexico.

🐌 Like many agave species, Agave pygmae has a slow growth rate. It can take several years to reach its full size, but it's known for its longevity.

🌵These succulents are highly drought-tolerant and can thrive in arid conditions. They store water in their leaves, allowing them to withstand extended periods of dryness.

✂️ You can propagate Agave pygmae through offsets or "pups" that form around the base of the mature plant. These can be separated and replanted to create new plants.

💧 They are very low Maintenance and Once established, these agaves require minimal care. They are generally pest-resistant and can thrive with minimal watering.

🌼 Although Agave pygmae is primarily grown for its unique foliage, it can produce a tall flower spike with tubular yellow or reddish-orange flowers when it reaches maturity. This usually happens after several years.

🇭🇺 This is Ernest, Holli’s grandfather.

We gave him this succulent in one of our pots around a year ago when it was a single stem. It’s been on his balcony at his retirement home where he’s most likely forgotten it.

Upon visiting him today David was so thrilled to see how much new growth it has and how beautiful it’s looking!

Ernest came to Australia in 1957. He left Hungary in 1956 with his father, mother and younger brother Miklos. They traveled from Hungary to Austria where they stayed for at least 9 months and then boarded a ship to Australia where his uncle and uncles family lived.

Some of our favourite stories are of his ship ride to Australia.
He’s lived such an eventful life with many fascinating life stories.

A beautiful afternoon spent with a very special grandfather, Holli cooked two of his favourite Hungarian meals of Csabai and potatoes & Hungarian Cabbage rolls

This Square pot came with a small succulent and is cost $40… it was eye catching but the pattern didn’t last long in the garden. Peeling leaving a bland pot

Our pots are hand dipped in a huge range of coloured glaze that stand the test of time and perfect for the hot Aussie summer.

Our succulent pots have raised feet and drainage holes to promote air flow for healthy roots.
