Hopelessness is something that engulfs us at different aspects of our lives. And when we are at our lowest, some simple words of encouragement or comfort from our loved ones can prove to be a ray of sunshine during our dark days.

I gifted these to a friend of mine going through such times, to remind him that no matter what, at the end of the day, he would find us right by his side cheering from the sidelines.

My mother had asked me to make a painting for her for quite some time now, and I kept on postponing it by doing other things or making paintings for other people until I realized that we often take our loved ones for granted and disregard their feelings towards certain things. And once I had completed it, the happiness which was evident on her face made me want to make a hundred more paintings for her.

This painting was done on a 20×24 inches canvas. And since my mother's favorite colours are black and white, and she also has a particular fondness towards flowers, I tried to bring them all together in this abstract painting.

More often than not the society forces us to hide our scars behind pretty flowers. But then, if we are lucky enough, we find people who will love us and accept us with all our scars.

And while uploading this, I couldn’t help but remember this song named 3 Rounds and a Sound by Blind Pilot, which has grown over me these days.

Line art embraces simplicity and minimalism bringing immeasurable tranquility.

If I put the story behind this artwork of mine, I made this for one of my favourite persons in the world who loves this particular form of art. And for this, I transformed a black and brown photo frame into this white frame, and repainted the inner cardboard to complement this artwork.
