ইয়ারো নকশি কাঁথা

নকশি কাঁথা শৌখিন মানুষের এক পরম সম্পদ। গ্রাম-নগর-শহর-বন্দর সর্বত্র নকশি কাঁথা পাওয়া যায়। বলা যায় বাঙালি বেড়েই ওঠে নকশি কাঁথা গায়ে দিয়ে। বাড়িতে নতুন জামাইকে নকশি কাঁথা, নকশি বালিশ, দস্তরখানা ও নকশি রুমাল উপহার দেওয়া হতো। মা সন্তানের জন্য, স্ত্রী স্বামীর জন্য এবং দাদিরা পৃথিবীতে নতুন অতিথির আগমনকে উপলক্ষ করে নকশি কাঁথা তৈরি করতেন। ব্যবহারের উপরই নির্ভর করে কাঁথার কি ধরনের নাম হবে। যেমন জায়নামাজ কাঁথা, আসন কাঁথা, দস্তরখানা (বসে খাবার খাওয়ার জন্য) লেপকাঁথা, বয়তন (বালিশে ব্যবহারের জন্য) কাঁথা, ইত্যাদি।
