🌿 From Legacy to Innovation: The Story of Jute in Bangladesh
During the Pakistan era (around 1970), East Bengal stood as a global powerhouse in the jute industry. With 77 operational jute mills and a workforce of approximately 170,000 people, the sector was a major economic driver. Jute products were exported to 120 countries, generating around 77 crore rupees in revenue—making the region the world’s leading exporter of jute goods.
Fast forward to today, the journey continues—but with innovation.
At RK International BD, we are not just preserving this legacy—we are transforming it. By introducing laminated jute fabric, we are enhancing durability, usability, and expanding applications for modern global markets. Sustainable, recyclable, and now more versatile than ever.
