Makisada Ceramics is a new ceramic studio that prides itself on the quality of its pieces. The logo of Makisada Ceramics shows two lotuses, entangled on their way up to reach the water surface. The lotus is one of the most significant representations of Buddhist teaching, with its roots deep in the mud, while its stem reaches up to show its pristine incarnation of natural beauty. evelopment signifies the progress of our soul from the mud of our modern mass production society. Although the rapid change of the business, it is one of our primary goals to stay true to a wide variety of traditional techniques and use zero means of mass production from concept to delivery. We believe that the time consuming process of creating a new work is part of the fact that our creations have a soul. They are patiently formed and glazed by hand, in order to ensure a maximal control on the whole creation. During the whole process we keep our utmost attention to our environment.
