Always the girl chasing sunsets đ
Thereâs something about sunsets that keeps pulling me back.
Perhaps itâs a clichĂŠâthe whole âafter darkness comes lightâ metaphorâbut sometimes, the simplest clichĂŠs are the ones we need the most.
Sunsets have a way of bringing you back to the present. They remind you to pause, breathe, and trust that even the darkest moments will eventually make way for light. And somehow, that thought has always soothed me.
Maybe thatâs why, when I first picked up watercolours, skies were the first thing I wanted to paint. No other subject fascinated me quite as much as the magic of light, colour and clouds unfolding across the sky.
Of course, painting skies like I do today didnât happen overnight.
It came from years of observing, practising, experimentingâand most importantly, understanding how water and pigment move together. Learning to let them flow, mingle and find their own rhythm.
Perhaps thatâs why my skies have always carried this expressive riot of coloursâcolours that bleed into one another, contrast, complement and somehow become more than the sum of their parts.
And honestly? Painting them still makes me the happiest. đ¤
If youâve ever looked at a sunset and thought, âI wish I could paint skies like this,â I have a class waiting for you.
A class where I take you through the understanding of water, pigment and flow so you can begin creating your own expressive skiesânot by copying mine, but by finding your own language with watercolour.
