Landscapes are the least common paintings I do. But I enjoy the challenge of them and I am eager to improve.
A tip I've learned over time, is to use darker values for the portions of the painting that are closer, and lighter values further away, to create distance.
I've tried to apply this method in this watercolour painting of a beautiful view from a hike. 🏔️🌲⛅️

I loved that series when I was younger.

I have seen a lot of trends online where people use AI to create a family picture, or a child’s picture, in a specific art style or cartoon-like.

While I understand how it’s instant and cheap, it makes me so sad that people use computers to make something “beautiful”. 😞

Art is such an incredibly unique thing as humans! It brings so much beauty and joy to our world. 🌎
Let’s not let robots do the creating for us!

There are so many incredible artists out there who have spent years perfecting their craft, and who put their heart and soul into every piece of work that they create! AI can never recreate that heart.

If you want to capture your family in a fresh, new “whimsical” way, find an artist who will create something with heart behind it! 💖
