The Arkansas Toothpick — my take on a compact Bowie.

What looks like a simple knife is anything but. It features a multi-piece handle built from deer antler, layered brass spacers, and black and red G-10 accents. The blade is made from tough 1095 high-carbon steel and hand-polished to a near mirror finish.

The sheath is made entirely in-house from premium vegetable-tanned leather and hand-stitched with red thread to echo the accents in the handle.

What appears to be simple in design often conceals some of the most complex techniques and subtleties of structure and geometry. In my opinion, the Japanese are masters of hiding complexity within simplicity. That's a philosophy I do my best to emulate in many of my knives.

A custom Santoku style blade made from 80CRV2 steel. The Wa style handle is made from Desert ironwood, spalted maple and 7000yr old Bog oak.

For the sixth year running, we proudly hosted our Wiltshire Highland Games annual charity fundraiser, with every dollar raised going to a worthy cause.
