~ HOW BACK FORTY STARTED ~

My name is Shauna, I was born and raised in Kelowna, BC! Woodworking is something I have always had a passion for so I started by making growth charts and posting them on Facebook! When I got pregnant with our 3rd baby Emma, I was told at 20 weeks she would be born with a Cleft Lip and Palate! It became very difficult for me to hold a fu

ll-time job while trying to make weekly specialist appointments and spontaneous trips to Children's Hospital! So at that point I decided it was time to find a way to contribute to my family while staying home and providing her with the extra care and attention that she would require! This is how my woodworking transformed from a hobby to a business! Making growth charts turned into signs, end tables, book racks.. until one day I could pretty much do anything if I set my mind to it! Almost 5 years later I have now created many unique pieces, custom furniture, 100's of personalized growth charts and my business has grown tremendously! Special thanks goes to my many followers and my parents who have supported me in every way possible from day one!
