I had a friend say it would be great for a gothic style build and I couldn’t agree more!

Pink Fittonia 💕

These are a terrarium favourite for their foliage that comes in basically any colour. They can tolerate home conditions or high humidity settings making them perfect for what ever you have in mind!

These are the larger leaf non-compact variety so would do great in the mid-ground or sides for a bit of height variety!

I absolutely love this show for its close knit group of vendors, hosts, volunteers, and of course all of you who make it out to these shows!! 💚

I saw an account posting about how to mass propagate a begonia from a single leaf so of course I had to give it a try! I’ll tag the original in the comments so be sure to check them out too 💚

They started by cutting off the edges - in order for this to work, you need to have the main “artery” or thick vein still in the leaf cutting & the edges don’t have that. Then the remaining bit is cut into strips & then cut into squares, I kept mine in 1.5 by 1.5 cm squares just to try this out!

From there I place each square into its own cell with damp spag moss. I kept the cells fairly packed with the moss to prevent drying. The OG poster noted adding springtails to prevent any mold issues so of course I doubled down on that.

I think at the end I had 30 plant bits that I planted & after a few weeks, sure, I lost a few but the remaining ones are all getting roots! So this was definitely a space saving way to propagate begonias! 💚🌱

These light loving plants thrive in bright spots with a bit of warmth & humidity - and yes their leaves close when touched!
