🏙️ A hundred years in Calgary, and that skyline has changed a lot more than we have. Same address on Fairmount Dr., same commitment to getting the job done right, same family running the show. The truck's got a new look, but the values underneath it are the same ones Charles Smith started with in 1918.

🧴 A good floor finish is only as good as the products keeping it healthy between refinishes. Bona has been the professional's choice for hardwood care for a reason. We carry Bona Prep, Craft Oil 2K Care, and Natural Oil Floor Cleaner right here in our showroom because we believe in looking after the floors we install long after the job is done. The right maintenance routine can add years to the life of a hardwood floor.

👉 Stop in and ask us what your floor actually needs this fall — we'll give you a straight answer.

😄 "The key to success is sincerity — if you can fake that, you've got it made." Our sign out front has been making drivers slow down and read twice for years, and we're not stopping now. We've never been much for faking anything, so we'll keep doing things the honest way and let the sign handle the comedy.

👉 Swing by and see what's on the sign this week, and while you're at it, step inside and let's talk floors.

🏠 Looking straight down at a herringbone landing framing the base of a curved staircase. This is the kind of image that shows how much thought goes into a full-home wood floor plan. The pattern had to be centred, balanced, and laid so it reads perfectly from above, not just at eye level. Every angle matters when a staircase is this open.

🎨 A fan of stain samples fanned out over a rich, dark floor. This is where the real decision-making happens, and it's a lot more interesting than picking a colour off a screen. The existing floor's warm brown tones show you exactly how each new stain will react to this species and grain. We always say: see it on your actual floor before you commit.

👉 Come into the showroom and let's work through your options together.

🔥 That intricate parquet pattern meeting the base of a grey marble fireplace is the kind of detail that makes you stop mid-room and just look down. Each small block in that floor was hand-set to create a repeating geometric pattern that no prefinished product can replicate. This is what custom wood flooring actually looks like; it's not just a species and a stain, but a design.

👉 Ready to talk about a floor that makes a real statement? We'd love to sit down with you.
