Have a room you don’t know what to do with?
Our clients had a bonus room and two preschool-aged daughters. We began by discussing what their family needed—and how those needs might change.
I proposed a family library, with a generous Nest chair for curling up together and reading. Books within reach. Cheerful colours the clients loved.
I also recommended a custom-made table where the girls could draw, colour and make things—even leave their marks on the surface.
That was intentional. The table could be sanded and refinished later, while the space could accommodate homework and larger projects as the girls grew.
The layout, furniture and materials were selected together to support family life now, with possibilities for the years ahead.
At Urban Energy, we help clients work out what a room could become, then bring it together through interior design, sourcing and custom solutions.
