β’ 1 part dried Old Manβs Beard (cleaned and crumbled)
β’ 3 parts high-proof alcohol (vodka or grain alcohol, 40% ABV or higher)
Instructions:
1. Gently clean the lichen by brushing off any dirt or debris. Do not wash with water, as it may strip away natural compounds.
2. Place the dried Old Manβs Beard in a clean glass jar, filling it about 1/3 of the way.
3. Cover the lichen completely with alcohol, leaving some room at the top of the jar.
4. Seal the jar tightly and label it with the date.
5. Store in a cool, dark place for 4-6 weeks, shaking gently every few days to release the beneficial compounds.
6. Strain the tincture using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth, and transfer it to a dark glass dropper bottle for storage.
How to Use:
β’ Take 10β15 drops under the tongue or in water 2β3 times a day to support immune health.
β’ Apply topically to clean wounds as an antiseptic.
