✨New Pattern Release✨

The Gatineau Hills Hat is now live! This hat was inspired by the Gatineau Hills in Quebec. It requires bulky or super bulky yarn and knits up quickly. Many thanks to the test knitters, tech editor and my friend Aimée for their support.

The Gatineau Hills Hat has been tech edited and is ready for test knitters! This cozy hat pattern will be available in two yarn weights: bulky and super bulky.

Timeline�• Applications close: afternoon of March 12�• Pattern sent: evening of March 13�• Test deadline: March 23�• Pattern release: March 25

Tester requirements�• A public knitting/maker-focused Instagram account�• Share work-in-progress photos before release and a finished hat photo on release day
�• Yarn requirements:�– Bulky: ~119 m / 130 yds�– Super Bulky: ~82 m / 92 yds
�• Suggested yarns: Malabrigo Mecha (bulky) or Malabrigo Rasta (super bulky)
�• Needles:�– Bulky: 5.5mm/9 US and 6.5mm/10.5 US�– Super Bulky: 9mm/13 and 10mm/15 US
�• Time to knit the hat and provide feedback by March 23

Sneak peek of what’s coming! I haven’t been posting much but I have been knitting. I have two accessory patterns that are in the process of being tech edited. In a couple of days, I will be looking for test knitters to try out the pattern for me.

I participated in my very first craft show yesterday!

I have been mia for several months as I was dealing with a health issue since last year. My health is better so I am now back at knitting and designing again. In the next couple of weeks I hope to have a new design available for testing.

This hat just went off to its new home today. Glad to be back in the swing of things 😊

Day 16 - reading/watching

Call The Midwife is usually playing when I sit and knit. It’s easy to follow along if I have to concentrate on my pattern.

Any suggestions of a new series to watch when this one is done?

Day 12 - unfinished business

This is my waiting room project. Since I have several medical appointments, I keep it near the door so I can grab it and go. It a simple pattern so I don’t need concentrate too much. But I find as soon as I whip it out, they seem to call me to the examination room so I only get a couple of rows done.

Day 6 - a pop of colour

During the time that I was working, my wardrobe was limited to dark, neutral colours such as grey, black, and burgundy. I am now incorporating more bright colours in my day to day life and I eventually plan to make socks with this yarn - adding some sunshine to these cold winter days.
