In starting this piece, I had a moment where I thought I wanted to go the photorealistic route with this owl but decided against it in favour of leaning into the whimsical side of myself that’s been dying to come out. In doing so, I seem to be uncovering my own style. When looking at this piece, I see a wise and ancient forest spirit. How does it make you feel?
