Wishing you all a wonderful weekend

Back to reality for most of the day today but I brought a little of that calm home with me.

Still loving this charming cottage kitchen, anchored by lakeside views, pun intended 😉

Sipping a quiet cup of coffee after a long day on the road ....including manoeuvering through Toronto downtown traffic... is the perfect way to unwind 🤍☕

And here is another beautiful German word ☺️

Die Genügsamkeit

It is the art of being happy with what you already have. Not settling. Not giving up. But genuinely looking around at your life and thinking: this is enough. This is good.
In English the closest word is contentment but Genügsamkeit goes deeper.
It is a way of living. Slowly, gratefully and at peace.

Design inspiration ✨

Some details are designed to be useful.

Others become part of the architecture.

The counter-mounted pot filler brings both beauty and function to the heart of the kitchen, transforming a daily task into a more thoughtful experience.

First impressions....

Der Blickfang - a lovely German word ☺️

It refers to something that immediately attracts attention because of its striking, eye-catching appearance. The word is used for people, objects, details, or design elements that stand out visually and draw the viewer's gaze, often intentionally.

A beautiful late afternoon to welcome the long weekend ahead .... light-filled spaces, quiet moments, a hike, a new book or a classic movie and some serious downtime 🤍☕ 🌞
