The gift of an adhd brain is the speed of the connection. Since focusing less on facilitating toronto weddings and working closer to home (P.E.c) I’ve been able to work more directly with the earth - adding gardening to my list of offerings, and stepping into a more supportive role at Little Farm That Could. All of these lessons learned through listening to the earth constantly bring me to the next lightbulb moment. I’ve begun to reframe everything I see as water. Plants are water, we are water, the earth is alive with its ability to hold and cherish water. Everywhere water touches, magic happens. I listened to a podcast by green dreamer about water stories, it completely changed my brain. My goal is to follow this gentle road that is unfolding and to find ways that suit me to study and work with watersheds. I see this as a creative pursuit, one that allows me to meet the moment while fostering my strengths of listening, feeling, and believing that the earth knows the way forward. This can look like so many things, and this overwhelming sense of possibility is often what can stop me from making the next step forward. I would love to chat with anyone that might have insight into what stepping stones towards this may look like.
Things that have felt poignant.. last week I was thinking about how special it’s been to be accompanied by an swallowtail on my dashboard that I saved from a highway before realizing it’d already left its body. Thinking to myself of how I’d like to share another butterfly with a particular artist if I had an extra, pulling into a gas station and seeing a man waking towards me with a monarch in his hands. It felt like a nice reminder that we are all connected and the things we are guided by will always find us, and that there are many that think butterflies are too beautiful to let flutter in their process of return on black tar.
There is a beautiful symphony in play and I’m grateful to get a chance to listen 🐍🍃🌙🌞

FLOWERS ARE EVERYTHING!!! Come get armfuls of flowers and juice up on the high vibes that is Toronto Flower Market. I will be there with cuties all day 10 -4💓🌷💓🌷
The pursuit of beauty is not some fickle thing, it is how we will all survive!!! Buying local flowers supports growers who KNOW HOW TO GROW in your local neighbourhood. I don’t know anything that is more important right now. I love u come buy flowers, let your ponytail whip back in forth because of the jaunt in your step… and feel some god damn levity 🌷🌷🌷

When I spend the day in the garden, without audio books, music, or a podcast, when I leave what echos in my ears is the sound of bird calls.
This beautiful garden is knocking my socks right off in these first two sessions this April. Thanks for trusting me with her. I was gasping around every corner today ✨✨
Happy flower moon friends + Beltane, eternally grateful for the kinship of flowers 🌷

Earth Day - I feel enraged. I am no longer scared to press my hands against the ground connecting to anger for how things have gone. But also - The optimistic energy that burst from inside me , the way a tulips sings. Loons howling in ancient symphonies at 2am under a crescent moon. This app cannot hold the entirety, nor should it try to. I am feeling it all - the inability to encapsulate the complexity of living in this time, the welcomed push/shove/catapult to stay in integrity, the doubt and fear of whats to come, the majestic presence of our humble mother, the reminder that joy is accessible, grace gleamed through witnessing owls live alongside me. Our earth continues to hold and comfort and teach in a way that is so deeply profound. It is the privilege of my life to witness and to meet fellow nymphs who take note of the quiet moments, who make art that celebrate sweet resilience. I see you and I love you and you are valued 🤎
