Needle felting is one of the easiest and fastest ways to repair clothing (made of natural fibers). You can rescue a sock with a bit of wool roving and one minute of your time. Bing bang boom.

Thank you to the lovely participants who joined me on Saturday for a Valentine felting class. As always, I was delighted to see how quickly everyone came up with their own unique ideas and ran with them. One of the kids said, "this is the most fun I've had in a while!"

If you can't make it to my Valentine Needle Felting class at the Stone Hall on February 14th, I have good news...

I've created a kit so you can learn at home!

This kit makes 1 heart-shaped valentine, approximately 2x2 inches, which can be turned into a pin or a magnet. It's beginner friendly, available in a range of colours, and I can customize kits if you have a specific colour palette in mind. The kit is accompanied by a tutorial video with detailed instructions and tips.

Price: $10

INCLUDED IN THIS KIT:
- 1 felting needle
- 1 piece of backing felt
- 1 ribbon bow
- 1 pin
- 1 magnet
- wool roving
NOT INCLUDED:
- A felting mat (you can use a sponge, a folded towel, foam packaging, or other suitable item you have lying around)
- Hot glue (for attaching the pin or magnet)

Make and decorate your own fuzzy valentine, with the option of turning it into a magnet or a pin!
This class is suitable for kids 9 and up, with parental supervision.

I am very proud to support HBM Strays & Ferals! They're doing essential work in my community to help the many cats living on our streets. You can help this amazing organization get free cat food simply by clicking once a day. Please take a moment to lend your support, it's easy as can be!

"HBM Strays & Ferals is a group that is addressing the homeless cat population in the Havelock area. Focusing on trap, neuter, release (TNR), the goal is to humanely reduce the number of unwanted and unowned cats by trapping, neutering, vaccinating and releasing them back to where they were trapped as long as they have a caregiver maintaining them. They work closely with rescue partners to adopt these cats to their forever homes if and when they are socialized. Help is also given to caregivers to help maintain and feed their spayed or neutered colony."
